Meet Athena

Meet the Designer

Welcome to my little corner of the world

Some stories begin with a sketch.

Others begin with a dream.

This one began with both.

Today, that lifelong passion has become the heart of Destiny Designs—where every collection begins with imagination, every rhinestone is placed by hand, and every piece is created with purpose.

So, pull up a chair, stay awhile, and welcome to my little corner of the world.

A conversation with Athena

Interview by Logan Hill

Logan: Before we talk about your beautiful designs, I’d love to begin with you. Tell us a little about yourself. Who is Athena Scull?

Athena: I’m someone who loves family, the people in my life, and of course… my dogs.

I’ve always believed the things we care about most deserve our time, our attention, and our heart. Whether it’s the people we love, the animals that become part of our families, or creating something with our own hands, I believe the best things in life are built with patience, love, and purpose.

One day I realized that if I didn’t take the chance to follow something that had been quietly growing in my heart, I’d always wonder, “What if?” Destiny Designs became that chance.

Logan: Where did your love of art begin?

Athena: Creativity has always been a part of who I am. And I’ve learned that some of lifes greatest joys come from sharing what you create with others. That’s exactly what I hope to do with Destiny Designs.

Long before denim became my canvas, I spent countless hours creating freehand drawings. I was always sketching ideas and looking for ways to turn something ordinary into something beautiful.

When I began working with denim, I realized I had found a new canvas. Every design still begins with a pencil sketch before the first rhinestone is ever placed. Every piece is created one rhinestone at a time, and I enjoy every step of that process. For me, the joy isn’t just in the finished design—it’s in watching an idea slowly come to life.

“people wear art almost everyday, whether they realize it or not. Why not wear this art?”

Logan: The name “Destiny Designs” feels very intentional. What’s the story behind it?

Athena: There is a story behind it, and it’s very personal to me.

Most people see the name Destiny Designs and naturally think it’s simply about designing beautiful things. While that’s certainly true, I wanted the name to mean something more.

To me, destiny is about following the path that’s been placed in your heart, even when it feels uncertain. Creating has always been part of who I am, and one day I realized it was time to stop wondering “what if” and start building something with purpose.

But I also wanted Destiny Designs to stand for something beyond fashion.

A portion of every purchase helps support organizations dedicated to finding missing and exploited children.

Nothing is more important than a child finding their way home.

If, through something as simple as creating beautiful art, I can play even the smallest part in helping a family find hope, then Destiny Designs has become so much more than I ever imagined.

“Every design and every rhinestone is placed by hand. It begins with an idea. Every collection tells a story.”

Logan: “When someone wears one of your designs, what do you hope they feel?”

Athena: I hope they feel beautiful, I hope they feel confident. But more than anything, I hope they feel like they’re a part of something special.

Every piece I create is made with care and purpose. When someone chooses to wear one of my designs, I want them to know they’re wearing something that was created with heart.

And if, through Destiny Designs, we can also help bring hope to a child and their family, then together we’ve become part of something much bigger than fashion.

That would mean the world to me.

A personal note:

Thank you for taking a few moments to visit my little corner of the world.

I hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know me and learning a little about the heart behind Destiny Designs.

Every design begins with an idea. Every rhinestone is placed by hand. Every collection tells a story. I hope one of those stories becomes part of yours.

With Gratitude,

Athena Scull,

Founder, Destiny Designs
